Making Drums

When I received my copy of it Drums for review, I knew at first sight that I had come to something great. As creator and photographer myself I could really appreciate the work that obviously went into the collection of images for all drums drums discussed. I think it’s a great book coffee table from images only to do!

A pleasant surprise was the list of suppliers on the front page next to the credit of publishing. It provides resources for skins, milling, gluing, finishing, paint and beads – all essential for many types of drum repairs and not easy to find – thank you Dennis.

How to Play the Drums – Getting Started

Learning to play the drums is a great way not only to your feelings of music, but the benefits are not many other music related. These include the continuation of your brain, your cardiovascular system pumping and muscles and, of course, improve your cool factor!

If you′ve never played the drums, you may not have battery. Do not worry! There are some basics that you can learn without even need a drum kit. Importantly, begin typing on your lap. See if you can press any music you hear in time. You′ll soon instinctively tap run – it is a normal feature of drummers, something that my friends always end up screaming at me to stop! It is addictive after a very short time to accept that you said “Stop typing!” At a time too!
