The harmonica is one instrument that rarely gets its due to writers and musicologists, but it was an extremely important role in American popular music of the past hundred years or so games. Harmonicas, Harps and Heavy Breathers, The evolution of the tool of the people is a good attempt to rectify the situation. Author Kim Fields – who own and peformance aficianado a harmonica – and traces the development history of the Intrument, with an eye on the harmonica popular bands of the late 19th and early 20th century and the use of instrument in the genres of blues, country, rock, jazz and, yes, even classical music.
