Intermediate Blues Guitar National Guitar Workshop is a book and CD tutorial package that teaches techniques for electric blues guitar. It covers both rhythm and solo playing in several styles such as blues rock, boogie, blues and funk. The book presents techniques and examples of a number of blues legends, The Kings – BB, Albert and Freddie, like Hendrix, Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

The objective method of players who have a basic knowledge of chords and scales blues, or who know guitar rock. The book presents a comprehensive review of music theory and the blues, you can debate the rest of the book follow. If you have little or no experience with bruises you may find the exercises get hard fast. The Beginner’s Blues Guitar book in the series to be a better place for you to start.

The book covers the main issues that I describe below in more detail.

1. Blues theory
2. Blues agreements and rhythm games
3. Technical Blues
4. Scales and solos
5. Master Licks

* Theory Blues

To ensure the notation used in the book a comprehensive introduction to the blues and the theory is presented followed. The explanation is very clear.

* Blues Chords and Rhythm Playing

The book goes beyond the means of basic blues shuffle and 7 strings Agreement extensions and replacements of education. You′ll become familiar with exotic names like the 9th agreement, 11th and 13th centuries. These agreements are used in a variety of rhythmic styles from blues to funky mix for comping.

There are some lessons in Nice R & B rhythmic style climax, played by Vaughan, Hendrix and Curtis Mayfield. These new positions should give you a good challenge.

* Blues Technique

There is a brief overview of the blues vibrato and bending techniques. They are then widely used in the chapters on scales and solos.

* Scales and Soloing

The major and minor scales pentatonic briefly covered, but the book goes beyond basic use. It shows how to mix the two scales, and include agreements. There are also plenty of information on the use of double stops (two notes at the same time) with intervals of 3rds, 4ths, 6ths and minor double stops.

* Licks Masters

The last chapter is devoted to blues licks like six masters: the three Kings – BB, Albert and Freddie – Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan. The Licks show the characteristic features of their styles, so you can learn and incorporate into your own game

* Conclusion

This method is really a step up from the book Beginner’s Blues Guitar in the same series. It requires a lot of practice time, but you′ll be rewarded by their work a great blues guitar if you patient. It will show you how to slow the pace of blues and lead from house to funky blend of blues to play a lively and interesting.

The accompanying CD includes all examples and is of very high quality. It would have been great if it included support for some long runs to practice, but you must look elsewhere for that.
