Pistonhead – Funny and Entertaining Rock Music Novel

A friend who also recommended in the music industry “Piston Head” and for me it was a revelation! I have many years in the trenches of rock and roll and this book touches a bulls-eye.

We meet Charlie Sinclair, a factory worker in blue-collar Boston (they used to have factories here, believe it or not) who plays guitar in a rock band called Heavy Piston Head. The group is not entirely successful – The book opens on a Thursday evening at the club great divide, where the band an audience of 500 people (heavy drinkers, and gang violence, was shot). There is a crisis: Jack “Rip″ Taylor, the vocalist has disappeared, presumably to score some dope in the parking lot of dealers amicable Dust Twins.

I Miss You 182 – An Analysis of I Miss You by Blink 182

We know that Blink 182 has always been considered the fun-loving, silly boys rock pop charts in the mainstream, but with the release of their eponymous album, a new facet of Blink 182 is revealed. The song I Miss You the most expresses this sentiment dark line for the album. Even the music videos in this album are more luminous and full of slapstick humor, but raw, intense and sad.

OFI Lyrics Miss You “are simple enough to understand, but it is this simplicity that such a strong bond between the band and its listeners arises. Even if emotions are predictable when someone hears I Miss You, the image is not metaphorical. After analyzing a large number of Blink 182, the work I thought Mark Hoppus has a better grip on the creation of the spiritual expressions with great interest in the subject, in contrast to Tom Delonge. Dante University Press Publishes Bravo! Greatness of Italian Music

Historian Guy Bill Gray is undoubtedly the music and history. So if you’re a fan of both, I am sure that you want her latest book, given the Bravo! Greatness of Italian Music, published by University Press Dante. I must say immediately that I really enjoyed this witty account of what many consider an important historical text with deep well-researched information on his chosen subject. This is very true! Making Drums

When I received my copy of it Drums for review, I knew at first sight that I had come to something great. As creator and photographer myself I could really appreciate the work that obviously went into the collection of images for all drums drums discussed. I think it’s a great book coffee table from images only to do!

A pleasant surprise was the list of suppliers on the front page next to the credit of publishing. It provides resources for skins, milling, gluing, finishing, paint and beads – all essential for many types of drum repairs and not easy to find – thank you Dennis.

Hollywood Musicals – Review

Hollywood Musicals is a beautiful book that comes with a CD. The introduction of the book begins with “In the beginning there was light. The electric light.” In this spirit, beginning with Edison, the book continues with the technical history of photography, film, and Nickelodeon Kinetograph ten minutes shorts, Griffith and the silent films that followed.

Among the earliest silent films, the book cites Edwin S. Porter ’s (1903) “The life of an American Fireman and The Great Train Robbery”, Griffith (1915) “Birth of a Nation″ and “intolerance.” Along with the top producer Cecil Blount De Mille, the stars of the silent era are also included: Mary Pickford, Dorothy and Lillian Gish, Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Greta Garbo and Rudolph Valentino.

The History of Rock Music – Book Review

During the fifties and later, the vital young, energetic and rebellious produced his own music, as opposed to traditional music, target for censors and conservatism. When I saw this book with an Elvis-like drawing on the cover, I had to get it because it reminded me of the time when most of us in my generation were, musically speaking, in love with Elvis and his successors.
